A Little History.

Located in beautiful west-end Hamilton, Aberdeen Gardens sits on a site that has been a community fixture for over 70 years. Some remember it as the Zimmerknit Factory, others shopped here when it was the site of the local Dominion Grocery Store, and in 2000 Aberdeen Gardens welcomed its first resident.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My father was a resident at Aberdeen Gardens Retirement Residence for over two years, and it was the perfect choice. This is a very warm and caring home. It is located in the Durand neighbourhood, with easy access to stores and great restaurants. Parking provided.The food is excellent, high quality and tailored to the needs of residents. The home itself has a lovely main area to socialize as well as several other rooms between the two levels to mix and do activities. The rooms range in size and some come with a kitchenette, all include cable for tv. They can include a range of services, ranging from laundry to medical  support. For my family and for my father, it was the staff that was the highlight of living there. This is an extremely caring community. He received excellent attention from everyone --those working the desk, the nurses, and PSWs. Highly recommend Aberdeen.

Look no further, you will not find a more caring and helpful staff than here. We had my father in law here and he was very nervous about going to live in assisted living. He loved it here, the residents are happy and friendly. The staff and management do an amazing job. There are not enough words to say how appreciative we are of Aberdeen Gardens

Our family could not be more pleased with the excellent service provided by their extraordinary staff. They care about each and every resident to ensure they are well looked after and happy. This has never been more important than during the COVID 19 crisis. I was impressed with the numerous protocols put in place well ahead of government directives. We receive regular communications from the Executive Director about any issues or new guidelines. With all of the recent unfortunate news about certain retirement homes, we have peace of mind knowing he is safe and treated like a member of their family. Each and every request is looked after in an appropriate and timely manner, and they do not hesitate to make recommendations to improve his level of care. We will always remember the head chef telling us to watch what happens after 3 weeks, and indeed he looked and felt much better as his diet and medicines were carefully managed. This may not be the most expensive retirement home in the Hamilton region, but is the best managed, with the very best staff.  We are grateful to every member of the Aberdeen Garden’s team for looking after my father-in-law so well. Though moving loved ones from their home is always a difficult decision, we are now enjoying more quality time together with him as his daily needs are taken care of. We wish that he had moved their sooner.

She has been well looked after and has made friends. The home is organized,clean, the meals are great and the staff is caring. I am so grateful for their care of my mum during this pandemic. They have been proactive and have had the residents health at the forefront of their care. Thanks again!
