Absolutely. We understand that pets are beloved members of your family, and we are happy to welcome them to Winchester Glen. Please ask about our pet policy before bringing your pet to live with you in your new home.
-
Can I bring my own furniture and personal accessories to decorate my new home?
Yes, we encourage you to do so. It would not be your home if you were not surrounded by your personal treasures. You are welcome to bring your own furniture, pictures, drapes, bed linens, towels, plants, and other items that will make you feel at home.
-
Can I come and go as I please?
Absolutely you can. For fire and safety purposes, we simply ask that you sign out when leaving and sign back in once you return. The sign out and in book is located at the Front desk. We also encourage your friends and family to sign in and out when visiting.

-
When can my family and friends visit?
Visiting hours are anytime. Family and friends are welcome to join you for a meal, or even overnight. If you have adequate space in your suite, you are welcome to have a short-term guest stay with you for a limited amount of time. Family and friends from out of town are also welcome to enjoy a “hotel stay” with us which includes meals at a very reasonable rate, provided there is a suite available at the time.
-
Do you offer any options for short-term stays?
Yes, we happily welcome residents for both “respite stays” and “trial stays”, pending availability. Whether you are recovering from a health issue or surgery, or you just need a break from the daily grind of cooking and cleaning, a respite stay can provide you with the short-term care you may need with all the comforts of home. If you’re not sure if retirement community living is for you, a trial stay will give you the opportunity to experience firsthand what it’s all about, without the pressure of a commitment.
-
Will I be able to bring my vehicle?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your car. Designated underground parking will be available for a monthly fee.
-
Do I have to sign a lease?
We are licensed under the Retirement Home Authority and are required to have all residents sign a Financial Agreement in order to ensure everyone is aware of their rights and the standards of Winchester Glen. At the time of signing, charges for all services will be explained and provided in writing so you are well informed. You are never tied to a long-term agreement and only need to give 30 days’ notice should you wish to leave Winchester Glen for any reason.
