 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can't say enough good things about the care my sister has received since she moved into Winchester Glen in December 2024. Most importantly, she was taken on by Dr. Junyi Li, the family physician affiliated with WG, who referred her to a specialist; between his guidance and the conscientious care of the fourth floor PSWs, my sister's diabetes is back under control and the medication she requires is slowly being reduced. She's gone from being weak and wobbly to getting herself to the daily activities on the fourth floor under her own steam. This home and its wonderful staff has made a huge difference to her quality of life!

Vickie Harris and her awesome team at Wellness have gone above and beyond to make life better not just bearable.
Sara and Emma in "housing"? have also done an incredible job accommodating us through a couple of changes.

I enjoy many activities, namely the daily fitness, weekly live shows.The recreation manager  is open to the residents input and makes suggestions happen . We even started our resident’s choir Even my pup gets treats every time we pass by the front desk .The maintenance staff respond to work orders promptly.
We had family from out of town visiting snd they really enjoyed their stay in a guest suite, were delighted with everything included in the suite.

After debating endlessly if a retirement home was the right choice for them, I can honestly say if we knew they would be this happy, we would've done it years ago.

The place is stunning, clean, has all the amenities, and feels like an elegant hotel. And now that our parents are there, they are thriving, making friends, eating better, playing cards, and told us 'it's like being on holiday'.

If they struggle with something and need help, the staff is there, and what a fabulous staff they are. Sarah, Emma, Silken, Vicki... they're all amazing and make the residents truly feel like family.

Knowing our parents are there and are still able to be independant, is wonderful, but also that they can have help within minutes if they need it, means so much to us.

If you are anything like us, and are worried about making the wrong choice, you need to take a tour with Sarah, and see just how amazing Winchester Glen is.

We had to do this suddenly after she had a bad fall and broke her hip and wasn’t able to live alone after the recovery. Sara and Emma were great and patient while we figured things out and helped out to set things up when we got her moved in. The staff are friendly and make an effort to ensure my mom is comfortable and taken care of. The rooms are a comfortable size so my mom doesn’t feel closed in and still has a sense of independence. The residents are also quite friendly and all smiles. It’s not as big as some of the facilities in Durham but this is also nice since I feel like my mom would get lost in the bigger sites.
